Bir is a small town that is known for its beautiful Buddhist monasteries, tea gardens, and charming handicraft shops. On the other hand, Billing is a famous paragliding spot located about 14 km away from Bir, at an altitude of approximately 2400 meters. It is considered one of the best paragliding sites in the world due to its favorable weather conditions and stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Itinerary

Day - 1

Arrive in Kasol, Visit Waterfall

After arriving in Kasol, it's a good idea to take some time to rest before embarking on your adventures. Once you're ready, head out to explore the scenic riverside and organic farm at TRO. From there, make your way to the markets of Kasol, where you'll discover an array of amazing hippie shopping opportunities and can indulge in some mouthwatering Israeli cuisine at the local cafes of Kasol. We also take time to explore the waterfall of Kasol and trust us its a hidden gem that you'd love to bathe under.

Day - 2

Manikaran, Grahan Hike

Drive to Tosh and Trek up
till Kutla

Today after a relaxed breakfast, we depart for Manikaran; where we visit Gurudwara, Shiva Temple and manifest at the lock bridge. Post this, we go for a walk towards Grahan Nalah and enjoy till evening before returning back home for dinner with live music.

Day - 3

Depart for Jibhi

After a quick breakfast, we depart for Jibhi which is around 3 hour drive from Kasol. We reach there by lunch followed by a short walk to the Jibhi Waterfall. In evening, one can explore the traditional bakeries and markets of Jibhi.

Day - 4

Trek to Serulsar Lake

Serulsar Lake is a beautiful pristine mystical lake just 6 km from Jalori Pass. A short one and half hour trek will take you to the lake. The trek is not difficult at all. The lake is considered to be sacred and no one is allowed to go in the lake. The temple of Budhi Nagin is considered to be a holy place and tourists stop by to pay respects. It is said that you won’t ever find leaves fallen on the lake, the birds clean them up.

Day - 5

Depart for Bir - Monastery Day

Today, after an early breakfast, we depart for Bir Billing; where the most serene sunsets of the valley awaits. It takes around 5 hours to reach and after arriving; we visit the popular Buddhist monasteries and retire for the day after a good dinner in the market of Bir.

Day - 6

Paragliding Day

For paragliding, the take-off point is Billing, at an elevation of 8200 feet above sea level. After a briefing session, and putting up your safety gear, the glider is ready to take you on an experience of a lifetime. After a 45 min ride in the sky you are landed in Bir. You can then enjoy the sunset and take off for the night.

Day - 7

Spare day for Paragliding - Depart for Chandigarh

A contingency day is necessary for paragliders as the weather conditions in Himachal can be unpredictable, and some days may not be suitable for flying. It's always good to have a spare day in case the conditions are not favorable for paragliding. Finally, we board the evening bus to Chandigarh, bringing the trip to a fulfilling end.
