About

The Sargi Top trek is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views of Parvati Valley. This off-the-beaten-path destination remains unexplored by tourists. The Sargi top, located on a ridgeline, can be reached by trekking through dense forests on the mountain slopes of Lapas Village. As you move forward, the treeline gradually disappears, giving way to lush green meadows. From the Sargi Top, you can catch a glimpse of the snow-covered mountain tops of the valley as well as panormic top view of Kasol village. The meadows provide an ideal location for adventure camping, with bear valley just a few meters way.

About

Itinerary

Day - 1

Arrive in Kasol

After arriving in Kasol, it's a good idea to take some time to rest before embarking on your adventures. Once you're ready, head out to explore the scenic riverside and organic farm at TRO. From there, make your way to the markets of Kasol, where you'll discover an array of amazing hippie shopping opportunities and can indulge in some mouthwatering Israeli cuisine at the local cafes of Kasol.

Day - 2

Trek To Lapasa Village & Stay overnight - 4 Hour

Drive to Tosh and Trek up
till Kutla

We begin our trek to Lapasa village at around noon, and after a short drive and a three-hour trek, we arrive in the village of Lapasa, popular for its sunset point and spectacular view of the valley. We stay in one of the Pahadi homestays and cook meals together, strengthening our bond and acquainting ourselves with the team. Since the next day is going to be tiring, we retire early for the night.

Day - 3

Trek to Sargi Top - 8 Hour

The Sargi Top trail poses a significant challenge to trekkers. The path is characterized by extensive grasslands, wet and slippery steep trails, making it extremely difficult to navigate. As it's a steep climb throughout, it typically takes around 6 to 8 hours to reach the top. Therefore, we set out early and arrive at the campsite by 4 pm in the evening. After pitching our tents, we bask in the beauty of the Kasol valley under the starry night sky.

Day - 4

Hike around Sargi Top

After a demanding day hike, we got to spend another night at the summit to fully appreciate the mesmerizing peak. So, we embark on a one-hour hike to the bear valley, where we experience an adrenaline rush in the hopes of spotting bears. As night fall, we sing, cook, and sleep under the starry sky.

Day - 5

Return To Kasol

With our last day of the trek, we make our descent to Kasol. We start off early so as to reach Lapasa by evening and Kasol by late evening.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Suitable for - Experienced Trekkers
It is an extremely cold trek, so we advice our trekkers to carry good woollen jackets and thermals, alongwith some extra pair of cotton and woollen socks.
